DILG 10 Regional Director Bruce A. Colao, together with MLGOO Marydhel A. Daelo of DILG Impasug-ong, joined the Gawad Banuwa Recognition of Excellence and Service on September 11, 2026, at the Municipal Gymnasium of Impasug-ong, Bukidnon, as part of the municipality’s 149th Aldaw Ta Impasugong celebration.

Anchored on the theme, “Sharing the Beauty of Impasugong, Where Nature, Culture, and People Are in Perfect Harmony,” the Gawad Banuwa recognized exemplary barangays and local leaders whose dedication to responsible governance and public service has produced meaningful and measurable results.

In his message, RD Colao emphasized that recognizing exemplary barangay performance goes beyond celebrating accomplishments. It demonstrates how dedicated leadership, responsible governance, and genuine public service can translate into meaningful results for communities. Each recognition acknowledges the hard work of barangay officials and the trust and participation of the community, while setting a standard for others to follow.

He further underscored that Gawad Banuwa does not merely reward past accomplishments; it sets a higher standard for future performance and fosters a culture where excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement become part of everyday public service.
