CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Aug. 8, 2026 — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 10, through the Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED), conducted an AI-Share session featuring the latest changes and developments in ChatGPT and Gemini AI, presented by Statistician I Dexter T. Cejas.

The session provided participants with updates on the evolving features and capabilities of both artificial intelligence platforms, including their applications in research, content development, data analysis, file handling, information organization, and other productivity-related tasks. It also highlighted how these tools may be used to support more efficient work processes and enhance the preparation of reports, presentations, and other office outputs.

The activity also featured a presentation on Results-Based Monitoring and Evaluation (RBME) by Statistician II Abigail Hope Luna, providing participants with additional insights on the application of results-oriented approaches in monitoring and evaluation activities.

Through the sessions, participants gained a better appreciation of the practical uses of generative AI in the workplace, as well as the importance of results-based monitoring and evaluation in supporting informed decision-making and effective program implementation. The discussions likewise emphasized the responsible, appropriate, and informed use of AI tools in the performance of official functions.

The AI-Share and RBME sessions form part of DILG 10’s continuing efforts to strengthen the digital and technical competencies of its personnel, promote knowledge sharing, and encourage innovation, adaptability, and results-oriented practices in the workplace.
