SEVEN LGUS AWARDED WITH “MOST OUTSTANDING LGUs IN DISASTER PREPAREDNESS” IN MISAMIS ORIENTAL

On March 30, 2021, Governor Yevgeny Vincente B. Emano, PDRMMO Fernando Vincent Q. Dy and DILG Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe presented the plaques and cash awards to Most Outstanding LGUs in Disaster Preparedness in the cities and municipalities of Misamis Oriental at the Harbor Lights Hotel and Restaurant, Cagayan de Oro City. 

The awarding ceremony was conducted simultaneously with the Joint PPOC, PDRRMC and PADAC Meeting. PD Naybe spearheaded and facilitated the conduct of the “SEARCH FOR THE MOST OUTSTANDING LGUs IN DISASTER PREPAREDNESS” were cities and municipalities assessed on submitted means of verification (MOVs) based on the criteria of the SGLG and PDRRM Office inputs, viz:

I. Functionality

    – Quarterly Meeting

    – LDRRMO

II. Plans Available

III. Budget Allocation and Utilization

IV. Evacuation Management

    – Evacuation Center

    – Prepositioning of goods and resources

The Search Committee is chaired by the DILG together with the PDRRMO. The following LGUs were declared as winners:

• Component City Category :  El Salvador City

• 1^st – 3^rd Class Municipality

        1^st Highest Score – Opol

        2^nd Highest Score – Villanueva

        3^rd Highest Score – Balingasag

• 4^th – 6^th Class Municipality:

        1^st Highest Score – Laguindingan

        2^nd Highest Score – Medina

        3^rd Highest Score – Magsaysay

The said awarding is a provincial activity supported by the provincial government thru Governor Yevgeny Vincente B. Emano which has allocated funds for the cash awards. (DILG 10/DILG Mis. Or. PO/Maan Apolinario)
