SERBISYO CARAVAN BRINGS GOV’T SERVICES TO BRGY BULAHAN, CLAVERIA, MISOR
MISAMIS ORIENTAL, Jan. 27 – For the 120 individuals of Barangay Bulahan, Municipality of Claveria, the Serbisyo Caravan brought by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-10) and LGU Claveria proved to be effective in promoting community empowerment, citizen participation and open dialogues with its local leaders and citizenry in addressing issues, development gaps and needed interventions.
Due to the limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, access to local government services were either limited or cancelled. Hence, the need to reach out to the community through the Serbisyo Caravan.
Strictly adhering to the minimum health protocols, LGU Claveria brought the following services to the community, viz: Business One Stop Shop, services from the Office of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD), Local Civil Registry (LCR), Assessor, Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Veterinary, Municipal Agriculture, Human Resource
Management Office (HRMO) and the DILG.
In her message, Mayor Meraluna Abrogar expressed her gratitude for the participation and support of the residents of Brgy. Bulahan in the activity. Despite problems and delays brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, she assured the residents that the government is doing its best effort to serve the people.
Aside from the services offered, the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) team led an open forum wherein the constituents of the barangay were able to express their concerns to the local leaders and national government agencies present.
The RCSP is a platform used to address the identified issues of the community by closing the governance and development gaps through provision of needed government programs while ensuring that development is sustained and peace is being promoted.
One of the positive outcomes is the hoisting of the Philippine Flag, which demonstrates as a vibrant and functional
barangay.
