Activating 549 vaccination sites in Northern Mindanao, about 749,000 individuals in the Region are targeted to be vaccinated in the conduct of the three-day National Vaccination Days of the government, November 29 to December 1.

     Launched today, November 29, the said activity encourages all eligible Filipino adults aged 18 years old and above and Filipino youth aged 12-17 to get vaccinated as individual contribution in helping protect each and every Filipino family from COVID-19 and its variants.

     With this, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)- 10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe emphasized the importance of the roles of the local government units in ensuring the successful conduct of National Vaccination Days.

     “The success of the activity does not only rely on reaching the target number of vaccinated individuals, but also on ensuring that these people will be accommodated well despite the overwhelming number,” he said.

     On the other hand, Department of Health Regional Director Jose R. Llacuna, Jr. encouraged those who are not vaccinated yet in the region to grab the opportunity of protecting their selves and families against COVID-19, assuring that there is an adequate supply of vaccines already.

     Further, he expressed his gratitude to the region’s LGUs for their efforts and active support in the said initiative.

     The National Vaccination Day targets to vaccinate 15 million Filipinos across   three days. This is part of the continued drive to protect more Filipinos from COVID-19 as more vaccine supplies become available nationwide. (R10/RO/ORD-LGMED/LGOO II Rezza Mae B. Tolinero)
