R10 PROVINCES TO FINALIZE HARMONIZED PDP, SDG RESULTS MATRICES BEFORE JUNE 2019

In order to ensure the implementation of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), provincial government units are finalizing their Harmonized Local Results Matrices. This was agreed during the conduct of conference last March 19-20, 2019 and March 27-28, 2019, at the Apple Tree and Resort, Opol, Misamis Oriental.

“With the harmonized RMs & SDGIs, LGUs and all national government agencies will be assessed on their contribution to the attainment of the PDP,” Regional Program Coordination Team (RPCT) leader Rumarheveson Bacal said.

The RMs will be espoused with evidence-based planning in an effort to guide LGUs in formulating and monitoring programs, projects, and activities, that will render results contributory to the PDP and SDGIs.

A series of provincial workshops, consultative conferences, and follow through meetings with national government agencies and LGUs were facilitated by the Department of the Interior and Local Government 10 (DILG 10) in close coordination with the National Economic Development Authority 10 (NEDA 10) and Philippine Statistics Authority 10 (PSA 10) from October 2018 to present, to ensure the localization of the PDP 2017-2022 RMs and SDGIs.

The said efforts are based on EO 27, series of 2017, which directs “…all government agencies and instrumentalities, including local government units” to implement the PDP for the period 2017-2022.”

PDP is anchored on the Ambisyon Natin 2040, a long-term Filipino vision which seeks to attain the standard, “matatag, maginhawa at panatag na pamumuhay”, and the adoption of the SDGs which aims to “eradicate poverty and promote inclusive and sustainable growth for all”.
