PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL COVID TASK FORCE MEETING

To discuss issues and possible solutions in the implementation of the General Community Quarantine in the fight against COVID-19, Misamis Oriental COVID Task Force, headed by Provincial Health Officer Dr. Jerie P. Calingasan, convened yesterday, March 31, 2020. 

DILG Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe presented the following DILG Memorandum Circulars:

a.   MC No. 2020-063, entitled: “Interim Guidelines on the Management of Human Remains for Patient Under Investigation (PUI) and Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Cases”;

 b.   MC No. 2020-064, entitled: “Provincial/City/Municipal Special Care Facilities and Isolation Units amid the COVID-19 Pandemic”;

 c.    MC No. 2020 – 065, entitled: “Guidelines for local government units in the provision of social amelioration measures by the national government to the most affected residents of the areas under enhanced community quarantine”;

 d.    Other Department-issued COVID 19 related issuances.

The Task Force also discussed good practices of the LGUs – integrating therein strategies of various agencies, and emphasized that COVID 19-related actions should not violate the guiding principles set by the National Inter-Agency Task Force and various issuances of the National Governent Agencies. (DILG Misamis Oriental/LGOO III Marie Antonette C.
