PCL CONDUCTS 2019 MISOR PROVINCIAL FEDERATION ELECTION

        The Philippine Councilors League (PCL), in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) MisOr elected its new set of officers during the 2019 Provincial Congress and Federation Election of Misamis Oriental Chapter for the term 2019-2022 on August 20, 2019, at N Hotel, Kauswagan, Cagayan de Oro City.

        According to PCL Mindanao Vice Chairman Atty. Oliver Owen Garcia, PCL was organized to ‘strengthen the rapport, camaraderie, and brotherhood among local legislators as well as formulate, implement, and coordinate programs, projects, and activities beneficial to the members of the league or the general welfare of the people’.

        “The league aims to bring the government closer to the people and strengthen public and private sectors relations towards local development,” he said.

        Moreover, DILG MisOr Provincial Director and PCL Comelec Chairman, Engr. Marisia C. Naybe, took over and ended the morning plenary session through the introduction of the PCL Comelec, briefing on the PCL election guidelines, and DILG Memorandum Circular.

        Approximately 350 participants composing the Local Government Units (LGUs), councilors, PCL and DILG staff, invited guests, and visitors joined to witness the election.
