MISOR COVID-19 TASK FORCE TALKS VACCINE UPDATES
Misamis Oriental, Jan. 19 — The Provincial Task Force against COVID-19 conducted its first virtual regular meeting for CY 2021 to discuss updates and prepare the province for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
The discussions include COVID-19 vaccine concerns such as the procurement process, vaccine implementation, and priority population.
To allay such concerns, Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe recommended that DOH conduct a survey to determine the willingness of the public to be vaccinated.
The cluster also talked about the province’s current number of COVID-19 cases, wherein Dr. Jerie Calingasan, Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force chief, reiterated to the group to consistently observe minimum public health standards to avoid the spike of cases.
Present in the meeting are Gov. Yevgeny Emano and all City and Municipal Mayors of the province. Also in attendance are representatives from the Department of Health and other line agencies, and the Municipal Health Officers (MHO).
