LGU SAGAY CONDUCTS SERBISYO CARAVAN IN RCSP PILOT BARANGAY
SAGAY, CAMIGUIN, April 27 – In the effort to institutionalize sustainable peace and development, LGU Sagay spearheads the Serbisyo Caravan in its respective Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) Pilot Barangay, Barangay Cuña on April 27, 2021.
The municipality, through its ‘Medical Mission’, distributed different types of medicines to the residents of the barangay and spearheaded ‘Operation Tuli.’
The activity, led by Sagay Municipal Mayor Joseph G. Uayan and Concurrent Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Jay Niel C. Añasco, was successful in delivering basic services closer to the people from far-flung areas.
“Swerte ang Barangay Cuña nga napili nga RCSP pilot barangay sa munisipyo tungod kay makadawat mo sa lainlaing mga kasulbaran na inyong kinahanglan gikan sa mga ahensya sa nasyunal nga pangagamhanan apil ang munisipyo sa Sagay ug sa probinsya sa Camiguin,” expressed Mayor Uayan.
(Barangay Cuña is fortunate to have been selected as the RCSP pilot barangay in the municipality since you will be the recipient of the various interventions from the national government agencies, the municipality of Sagay and the province of Camiguin.)
Since the RCSP launch last August 2020, Barangay Cuña has already received various programs, projects, and activities (PPAs) from the different national government agencies and the higher local government units (LGUs) such as livelihood programs from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), skills training from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), distribution of food packs from the Philippine National Police (PNP), and distribution of seedlings from the Municipal Agriculture’s Office (MAO), among others.
Mayor Uayan also urged the barangay to continue their active participation in the implementation of the RCSP in order to sustain and develop the PPAs they have already received.
The Reooled Community Support Program (RCSP) aims to address identified issues of the community by closing governance and development gaps through provision of needed government PPAs to attain sustainable peace, social justice and ultimate development. (DILG 10/DILG Camiguin/Megumi Tacastacas)
