LGRRC 10 MSAC PROVIDES LGUS WITH WIDER NETWORK

MALLBERRY SUITE BUSINESS HOTEL, CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Mar. 27 — With the Department’s goal to build a community with a culture for learning; and creating a wider reach of associates in assistance to local government units , the DILG 10 through its  the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) conducted the Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Council (MSAC) meeting.

 

The MSAC aims to provide a wider range of assistance in specific areas for LGUs formulating new interventions and operations in all aspects of Local Governance. 

 

During his message, DILG Regional Director Wilhelm M. Suyko, CESO IV, emphasized that the partnership is a great foundation to achieving its vision of becoming the primary catalyst for excellence in local governance. He likewise thanked the partners for their continuous support through the provision of technical assistance to the LGUs in Northern Mindanao. 

 

Further, the DILG Provincial LGRC Focal Persons presented the composition of DILG Sub-LGRCs and discussed the implementation of their respective business proposals. After the presentation, DILG 10 LGRC Focal Person Edel Grace Seronay introduced the Department’s year long activities to the MSAC partners. 

 

In line with LGRRC’s vision to promote a strengthened partnership amongst stakeholders, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed with the partner National Government Agencies, Civil Society Organization, and Academe —to provide general direction and guidance for the implementation of LGRRC plans, programs, and projects and institutionalize the MSAC of LGRRC 10.

 

The meeting was conducted face-to-face and provided the participants with an avenue where they can present their offered services and updates to the LGUs. Moreover, the activity was participated by the DILG LGRRC 10 Core Team, DILG Sub-LGRCs, NGAs, CSOs, and academe.
