LGA LAUNCHES NEW
AUTOMATED HR SYSTEM IN DILG-10

Cagayan de Oro City, July 29 – The Local Government Academy (LGA) launched a new automated Human Resource system that is developed towards the aim of the Department to become an Integrated and Strategic Human Resource Management.

In connection with this, LGA in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government-10 (DILG 10) conducted a pilot testing and orientation on the use of the Competency Dashboard System on July 29, 2019 at the Dynasty Court Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.

To fully understand and implement the said system, participants from all the Provinces and Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) of DILG 10 as well as from the Regional Office attended the orientation.

“The importance of having this orientation and pilot-testing in the use of LGA’s Competency Dashboard System is to really ensure that LGA will know in what way we can improve our competencies, not only in the technical aspect but also in the administrative,” DILG 10 Assistant Regional Director Yvette Tolentino Sunga said.

The Competency Dashboard System was developed by LGA to create a database and management system that contains all competency profiles of all personnel in DILG 10.

This system analyzes three (3) competencies of an individual, namely: (1) Core Competency; (2) Leadership Competency, and; (3) Functional Competency.

Evaluation of these competencies shall be done through self-assessment of an employee (30%), and through the evaluation of the supervisor (70%). An over-all result shall be generated by the system to identify the competency level that a personnel is assessed with, and address the learning and development intervention that is needed.

DILG Region 10 is the first region outside of Luzon to be pilot tested on the said system.
