CLGOO Maria Maida Daniot was conferred with the 2019 Singsing ng Tanikala Award. Such recognition is given to best performing City/Municipal Local Government Operations Officer who has assisted and influenced local government units in achieving progress and good local governance.
One of the criteria is being able to introduce reforms and influence localities with regard to their perspective on, and practice of good local governance.
With this, CLGOO Daniot, is highly regarded for her outstanding contribution on sustaining the implementation of the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) for drug surrenderers in Malaybalay City. She developed the CBRP in 2016 in support of the administration’s campaign against illegal drugs, which has made a lasting impression to the DILG.
On the other hand, two nominees who made it as finalists to the CAPDEV ACE were Misamis Occidental Provincial Director Pablio L. Benitez and SAO Maria Ana C. Casiño for categories “Dangal ng Kagawaran” and “Dagitab ng Paglilingkod”, respectively.
The award for “Dangal ng Kagawaran” is conferred to an individual who has performed an extraordinary act of public service, consistently demonstrated exemplary ethical behavior, and/or has made an outstanding contribution of ideas or deeds that directly benefited the community.
While “Dagitab ng Paglilingkod” honors the best performing administrative personnel who performed well in all key areas of his/her job and consistently demonstrated exceptional performance, significantly above what is expected contributing to the attainment of the Department’s goals and objectives through the Local Governance Regional Resource Centers (LGRRC).
The CapDev ACE is introduced by the Local Government Academy (LGA) to integrate the awards system in DILG, serving as a platform to recognize DILG officers for their outstanding performance and contributions vital to the success of their LGRRC.
