DILG, RED CROSS CAPACITATE BRGY OFFICIALS ON BDRRM PLANS

In the pursuit of good local governance, DILG Iligan, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross, capacitated the barangays during the conduct of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (BDRRMP) & Contingency Plan (CP) Workshop on September 24, 2022.

To review and update their respective Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Plan (BDRRMP) & Contingency Plan (CP), Acting Program Manager LGOO Villebette Sato presented the overview of RA 10121 or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction Act of 2010, while DILG Iligan City OIC Director Maria Maida Daniot discussed the LDRRM Fund utilization rules and guidelines.

The activity is part of the project “Strengthening Capacity for Conflict-Sensitive Preparedness in Vulnerable Communities in Mindanao” (CONSENT DRR 2) funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Red Cross, through PRC Iligan Chapter.

Present were the officials of the identified barangays namely: Barangay Digkilaan, Bonbonon, San Roque, Santigao, Upper HInaplanon, Mandulog, Ubaldo Laya, Pugaan, and Abuno. They were also supported by their SB Chairperson on DRR, Barangay Secretary, Barangay Treasurer, and SK Chairperson. (DILG Iligan City/ V. Inot)
