Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD) Director Anna Liza F. Bonagua, CESO III, said that the DILG proudly upholds its commitment to bridging the gender gap in the country through the Magna Carta of Women.

Defining the GAD Seal Certification, Director Bonagua also emphasized that “the GAD Seal Certification is an internal recognition and promotion of institutional GAD streamlining within the department.”

The GAD Seal was deliberated and convened through an on-site assessment by GFPS-CO and DILG Region XII who formed part in the validation and evaluation of the submitted documentary and compliance requirements, respectively, set by the parameters of the DILG GAD Seal Certification.

Meanwhile, Undersecretary for Plans, Public Affairs and Communication Attorney Margarita N. Guttierrez called on everyone to unite and create a more gender-responsive society.

“Together, with a clear goal in mind and steadfast commitment, we will push forward on our path to a society to be more progressive and gender-responsive,” she said.
