DILG-PDMU, DBM EQUIPS LGUS ON PROPER UTILIZATION, DISBURSEMENT OF PROJECT FUNDING

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-10 Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU) in partnership with the Department of Budget and Management (DBM)-10 conducted a virtual orientation on the Local Budget
Circular No. 131 (LBC) to the LGUs in the region.

 

The activity aims to discuss the purpose and preparation of documentary requirements, address various issues/concerns by the LGUs on the project implementation, understand the responsibility and accountability in the implementation of programs and projects, and give knowledge on the proper utilization and disbursement of the Local Government Support Fund – Financial Assistance (LGSF-FA) to LGUs. 

The LGSF-FA to LGUs is used for financial assistance to LGUs to support the following priority programs and projects provided in the LBC project menu. This includes (1) Farm-to-Market Road, (2) Water and Sanitation System, (3) School Building, (4) Health Station, (5) Rural Electrification, and (6) Housing for the non-infrastructure projects, and (7) Agricultural,
Livelihood and Technical Vocational Trainings, and (8) Assistance to Indigent Individual and Families. 

During the activity, PDMU Engineer Frances Clare L. Alamban acknowledged and introduced the participants and resource speakers, respectively.
