DILG MISAMIS ORIENTAL CONDUCTS THE PHILIPPINE ANTI-DRUGS SYSTEM (PADS) ORIENTATION ROLL-OUT
Resolving the drug problem is among the top priorities of PRRD’s administration, the DILG has been advocating good governance through awards and incentive programs such as the 2019 Anti-illegal Drugs Abuse Council (ADAC) Awards. The said award was given to LGUs that sustained drug-cleared and/or drug-free status of their barangays.
On April 19-20, 2021, DILG Misamis Oriental conducted the PADS Roll-Out Orientation for ADAC Focal Persons and C/MLGOOs at the Apple Tree Resort and Hotel, Opol, Misamis Oriental in two (2) batches.
Objective of the activity was to capacitate ADAC Focal Persons on the indicators including MOVs in the in the conduct of CY 2021 ADAC Functionality Audit.
Provincial Director Naybe thanked the participants for attending the activity despite their busy schedule, she also shared that “Learning fast and graduating fast are two different things. Many extraordinarily successful people did not complete a degree but they learn fast. In reality, great learnings happen outside the classroom in many cases. It is fast learning that defines breakthroughs in life”.
On April 20, 2021, Program Manager Liza Ladres gave the opening message, she emphasized the importance of the ADAC focal Person in ensuring that all documentary requirements are collected and uploaded.
ADAC Regional Focal Person, LGOO V Michelle A. Espedido gave an overview on the Implementation of the Special Drug Education Center (SDEC), While, LGOO VI Ma. Pamela Benitez together with ADAC Regional Focal Person Michelle Espedido discussed the CY 2019 and 2020 ADAC Performance Audit Guidelines and indicators.
While Ms. Arjelu Johanys Galpo presented the ADAC Functionality Monitoring System (FMs). The system will be utilized by the LGU’s ADAC Focal Person shall upload forms and MOVs.
The abovementioned activity was attended by the Local Government Unit Anti- Drug Council Focal Persons (LGU-ADAC-FPs) and C/MLGOOs, as well as representatives from Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA). (DILG 10/DILG Mis. Or. PO/Maan Apolinario)
