DILG MIS OCC CONDUCTS LGUs UPDATING ON THE STATUS OF RCSP AND LGSF-SBDP IMPLEMENTATION

The DILG Misamis Occidental Provincial Office, headed by Provincial Director Pablio Benitez, Jr. conducted an UPDATING ON THE STATUS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF RCSP 2020 PRIORITY AREAS CUM ORIENTATION under the Local Government Support Fund – Support to Barangay Development Program (LGSF-SBDP) to the Six LGUs along with the Provincial Local Government of Misamis Occidental on March 11-12, 2021 at Johanne’s Cuisine, Ozamiz City. 

The activity aims to update the RCSP implementation in 11 barangays identified as CY 2020 priority areas and level-off the pre-implementation phase of LGSF-SBDP on concerned cities and municipalities specifically on the documentary requirements needed to proceed, reiteration of the standards and guidelines of the programs and address issues and concerns from the Province down to the concerned barangays for each project category. 

Since 2020, a series of activities relative to RCSP were conducted by the DILG Misamis Occidental Provincial Office to the stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of the program. Thus, the Current status of program implementations in CY 2020 priority areas must be communicated to stakeholders to update them on the continuity of such programs. 

Accordingly, priority projects identified by barangay during RCSP will be funded by the Local Government Support Fund-Support to the Barangay Development Program (LGSF- SBDP) of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). 

For the province of Misamis Occidental, a total of 11 barangays, from the 3 cities and 3 municipalities which will be receiving P20-M each for the realization of their priority project which they have identified to answer their pressing development needs. 

We are prioritizing the delivery of basic government services and social delivery packages, while also facilitating community inclusivity and ensuring active involvement of all facets of society to address the identified issues of the community by closing the governance and development gaps while ensuring that development is sustained and peace is promoted despite the impact and delays brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.” PD Benitez emphasized in his message.

 

 An open forum was also held, wherein issues and concerns of LGUs were addressed and clarified by Provincial Director Pablio Benitez, Jr, Cluster Head Sanivier Patoc supported by our SBDP Misamis Occidental Team: Focal Person LGOO III Roy Vicente, PEO Lawrence Pastrano, PDMU Provincial and Regional Engineers: Engr. Kleanoure Emperio, Engr. Buen Tumilap and Engr. Claint Baylon.
