DILG BUKIDNON GAINS RECOGNITION FOR PEACE EFFORTS AT 48TH IB ANNIVERSARY
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bukidnon was recognized for its commitment to peace and development during the 44th Founding Anniversary of the 48th Infantry “Guardians” Battalion on March 25, 2025, in Maramag, Bukidnon.
Represented by Provincial Director Rhona Pedraza-Abadilla, DILG Bukidnon received a Plaque of Recognition for its crucial role in supporting the battalion’s mission of sustaining an insurgency-free community.
A key initiative in this effort is the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), a collaboration between DILG Bukidnon and the 48th IB that provides former rebels (FRs) with livelihood assistance, skills training, and reintegration support. Through this initiative, FRs are given the opportunity to rebuild their lives and become productive members of society.
In addition to E-CLIP, DILG Bukidnon and the 48th IB have worked closely in facilitating the declaration of insurgency-free municipalities in various areas in the province. Through coordinated efforts, they have strengthened local peace and security initiatives and ensured that communities remain resilient against insurgency threats.
The event was attended by Major General Joseph Norwin D. Pasamonte, Commander of the 7th Infantry Division, along with local chief executives (LCEs), representatives from non-government organizations, and other key stakeholders.
The award highlights the agency’s continued collaboration with the military, local government units (LGUs), and other stakeholders in ensuring long-term peace and security in Bukidnon.
