DILG BUKIDNON CONFERS SGLG, ADAC AWARDEES
BUKIDNON, Jan. 18 — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-Bukidnon) lauded the provincial office and the six (6) local government units (LGUs) who passed the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) and the 2019 Anti-Drug and Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Awards, during the flag ceremony on January 18 at the Kaamulan Folk Arts Theatre.
Among the provinces in the country, Bukidnon passed the SGLG redefined “All-in” assessment criteria composed of the following: financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, peace and order, business friendliness and competitiveness, environmental protection, and tourism, culture and the arts.
The 2019 SGLG awardees are the municipalities of Pangantucan, San Fernando, Impasugong, Kadingilan, Quezon, and Valencia City.
Apart from receiving the 2019 SGLG marker, the recipients are entitled to the Performance Challenge Fund (PCF) which can be used to finance their local development projects. They will also have priority access to other programs and capacity development assistance from the DILG.
The municipalities of Pangantucan and San Fernando also received markers for winning the 2019 Anti-Drug and Abuse Council (ADAC) Performance Awards. While the municipality of Kadingilan received the ADAC special award.
The ADAC Performance Awards recognized the exemplary efforts of the LGUs in complementing the national government’s efforts in eradicating the country’s illegal drug problem in their respective areas of responsibility.
