R10 IATF-MEID TALKS NEXT QUARANTINE CLASSIFICATION FOR NORMIN
In the fight against COVID-19, the Region 10 Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (R10 IATF-MEID) convened for its 36th Meeting on January 20, 2021 through virtual meeting.
As part of the agenda, the Screening and Validation Committee presented the health, economic, social and security parameters of the region.
With the health parameters being a major factor in deciding the next community quarantine classification of the region, the Department of Health (DOH) presented that the region is low risk in growth rate, average daily attack rate (ADAR), hospital health care utilization rate (HCUR), trained surveillance office/epidemiologist and contact tracing efficiency (CON).
In addition, DOH presented that for case doubling time (CDT), the region is classified as medium risk. For suspect cases who tested positive and for temporary treatment and monitoring facilities (TTMF), the region is classified under high risk.
The R10 IATF-MEID will endorse the assessment reports presented by the DOH, National Economic Development Authority (NEDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to the National Inter-Agency Task Force (NIATF). This will assist the NIATF in deciding the community quarantine classification of the region for February 1-28, 2021.
