DILG 10 TURNS OVER OFFICE FURNITURE, FIXTURE TO 4ID’S ELCAC OPCEN, ISO COORDINATING CENTER

Towards strengthening efforts on ending local communist armed conflict, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 10 turned over office furniture and fixture to 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division (4ID-Philippine Army), April 20, at 4ID Camp, Patag, Cagayan de Oro City.

Funded through the support of Region 10 Local Government Units, such items are intended for the operationalization of the Regional Task Force-ELCAC X Operation Center and the Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC) Internal Security Operations (ISO) Coordinating Center.

To date, financial support from Provincial LGUs of Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, and Misamis Occidental were already received by the Office. The Provincial and Highly Urbanized Cities (HUCs) LGUs in the region have pledged to support the said operation center.

“We have the support of the LGUs to maintain the peace and order and public safety in Region 10, that is why right now, we have these equipment for our Operation Center here,” said DILG 10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe.

He extended his gratitude to all the LGUs involved and said, “Hopefully, all the other needs of the Operation Center will be provided again as we continue to solicit assistance from our LGUs. This is one way for us to have one of the best Operation Centers in the country.”

On the other hand, MGEN Andres C Centino PA thanked all the donors, the LGUs, for their continued support. He said that for the past years, they have already done a lot in the general security operations, as well as in the ELCAC efforts—thus, it is only fitting to come up with an Operation Center.

“With all these items, we will make sure that the OpCen will be functional and operational. We will make sure that we will take care of these things,” MGEN Centino said.

Meanwhile, RD Agabe also commended the 4ID for the job well done as far as their deliverables are concerned and on how they collaborate with other agencies.

“The DILG as the head secretariat of the RPOC will always welcome any suggestions and recommendations coming from the 4ID, especially on how we could further enhance our partnership in maintaining peace and order in the Region,” RD Agabe said. (DILG 10/ORD/Rezza Mae B. Tolinero)
