Eight (8) completed projects under 2016 Bottom-Up Budgeting (BUB) and 2017 Assistance to Disadvantaged Municipalities of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) was turned over to the Municipality of Linamon, Lanao del Norte on January 22, 2019.

The said projects were the following:

  • New FMR Bosque to Purakan Phase 2 (2017)

“Through the turn over of these projects, the Municipality of Linamon was able to prove that they can do it and everyone gave their best,” DILG 10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe said.

With the ceremonial turn over being conducted simultaneously with the week long celebration of the 59th Araw ng Linamon “Hudyaka sa Lubi Festival”, the Regional Director said that it gives more reason to celebrate the said occasion.

“You have proven that with local government units, we could do better and we would be able to identify as to what are really the needs of your constituents,” he said.

One beneficiary shared that back then, they have to go through rough roads in Barangay Purakan to reach to their destination. Now, with the completion of the road project in their area, they are now able to conveniently reach their destination faster.

Sugod pa lang, karsada na among gusto ipabuhat kay sa among lugar kay daghan mga buros unya lisud kaayo para sa ila kung dili maayo ang karsada [Even before, we have been wanting to have roads contructed in our areas because it has been inconvenient for pregnant women here to traverse through rough roads],” said the beneficiary.

“As you can see, we now have better roads and we would like to express our gratitude to all of those who made this project possible,” she added.
