DILG 10 REITERATES: REFRAIN
USING CELLPHONES WHEN
ATTENDING TO CLIENTS
Clients first.
Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 10 reiterated the need to refrain from using cellular phone when attending to clients, especially the frontline workers of all Local Government Units (LGUs).
This is in accordance with the standards of personal conduct in the discharge of official duties and is pursuant to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
“We are calling the attention of our local chief executives to look into this concern and ensure that this directive is observed,” DILG 10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe said.
He said that all clients deserve undivided attention from all the service providers of the government, ensuring that all their necessary needs are addressed accordingly.
The Regional Director added that aside from the LGU officials and staff, all DILG officials and employees must also adhere to this reminder.
“We, in the DILG, are not exempted in this directive and I challenge all the DILG 10 employees to serve as an example of being matino, mahusay at maaasahan to all our clienteles,” he said.
