DILG 10 PREPS SERVICE
CONTINUITY PLAN IN CASE OF DISRUPTIONS, DISASTERS

To ensure continuous delivery of services to the public amidst any disruption such as disasters, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG)-Region 10 crafted its Public Service Continuity Plan (PCSP) which contains sets of strategies and mechanisms of the Regional Office in case of emergencies.

Said PCSP further aims to minimize damage and loss to critical processes by protecting essential facilities and resources, as well ensure succession if agency leadership is disrupted.

“DILG 10 wanted to step up with our preparations especially when it comes to possible disruptions, may it be human-induced or natural hazards, because we aim to continue with the performance of our essential functions despite these events,” said DILG 10 Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe.

Despite the need to continue with essential functions of the Department, the Regional Director emphasized that the safety of employees is also highly considered, thus, the need for more effective, efficient, and feasible continuity plan.

With these, DILG 10 personnel from the Regional Office underwent said planning last January 7, while DILG Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro City were scheduled last January 9. Upcoming schedule for the remaining field operating units are the following:

DILG Bukidnon – January 16-17, 2020

DILG Misamis Occidental – January 21-22, 2020

DILG Lanao del Norte and Iligan City – January 23-24, 2020

DILG Camiguin – January 27-28, 2020

With these, DILG 10 personnel from the Regional Office underwent said planning last January 7, while DILG Misamis Oriental and Cagayan de Oro City were scheduled last January 9. Upcoming schedule for the remaining field operating units are the following:

Among others, DILG pledges to the attainment of the following public service continuity: (1) To ensure continued supervision over local government units in governance, administration, social and economic welfare, environmental management; (2) To sustain a stable peace and order condition and ensure public safety by monitoring compliance to the prescribes rules, regulations and other issuances; and (3) To ensure continued monitoring of operation protocols and provide policy advice during local emergencies arising from natural and man-made disasters.
