CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Feb. 19 –21 The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 10 hosted the three-day NEO and BNEO Great Programs Consultation Workshop led by the Local Government Academy (LGA).

The program aims to elicit valuable feedback from local chief executives and DILG officers on the program’s results framework, design, implementation, and strategies. This initiative seeks to enhance the effectiveness of future NEO programs, particularly in preparation for the upcoming 2025 elections.

In her message, DILG 10 Officer-in-Charge Yvette Tolentino – Sunga, CESO V, underscored the importance of strengthening capacity-building efforts for local officials. “Today, we gather not just to share insights but to shape a comprehensive and meaningful orientation program—one that will equip our newly elected, re-elected, and returning officials with the right skills, knowledge, and mindset to navigate the complexities of local governance,” she stated.

The consultation workshop ensures that future training and capacity-building efforts are responsive to the evolving needs of local government officials, further strengthening governance and leadership at the grassroots level.
