DILG-10 ENSURES INTEGRATION OF BARANGAY CLEARANCE BY BUKIDNON LGUS
After the Ease of Doing Business Law (Republic Act 11032) was signed into law by President Rodrigo R. Duterte on May 28, 2018, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG-10), through the initiatives of Bureau of Local Government Development (BLGD), has been one of the vanguard agencies working towards implementation of the law.
With this, the second batch of participants from the Municipalities of Don Carlos, Impasug-ong, Kitaotao, Lantapan, Libona, Manolo Fortich, Maramag, Pangantucan, Quezon, San Fernando, and Talakag participated in the Online Rollout Training on Integration of Barangay Clearance last December 3-4, 2020.
The EODB Law requires all government agencies, including Local Government Units (LGUs), to reduce processing time for business permits and official documents by simplifying the process. The salient features of this act were expounded by Local Government Capability Development Division (LGCDD) Chief Hazel L. Occeña.
For DILG Regional Director Arnel M. Agabe, it is important to amplify the objectives of the law in order to instill knowledge and skills to its constituents especially in these trying times.
“We might have changed our priorities, we might have adapted other strategies and modalities in the delivery of our services, but one thing is for sure- we would like to make our constituents feel the presence of the government despite the pandemic.”
Last October 15, seven municipalities from Misamis Oriental were oriented on Barangay Clearance Integration. (DILG 10/LGCDD-RPCT/Merryane Rose S. Bacud)
