Cagayan de Oro City, May 21, 2025 — Bangsamoro Member of Parliament Sultan Abdullah “Commander Bravo” G. Macapaar, Commander of the North Western Mindanao Front of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), paid a courtesy visit to the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 10 (DILG 10) and the Police Regional Office 10 (PRO 10) on Wednesday, reaffirming his commitment to peacebuilding and inclusive progress in Mindanao.

The visit symbolized the continuing peace process between the Government of the Republic of the Philippines and the MILF, reflecting shared hopes and commitment to sustaining the gains of peace in Mindanao.

During the visit, DILG 10 Regional Director Bruce A. Colao emphasized that Commander Bravo’s presence at the regional office represents a collective commitment to pursue unity, foster deeper understanding, and uphold respect for shared values and cultural differences. He noted that such efforts are crucial to advancing long-term peace and inclusive development.

MP Macapaar also paid a courtesy visit to the Police Regional Office 10, where he was welcomed by Regional Director Police Brigadier General Jaysen C. de Guzman. PBGEN de Guzman expressed gratitude for Macapaar’s role in maintaining peace during elections, highlighting his interventions in resolving conflicts to ensure peaceful outcomes.

As Mindanao continues its journey toward sustained peace and development, this engagement underscores the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and mutual respect.
