78 Rebel surrenderees received 4M-worth of assistance from the government

ICYMI | 78 enrolled Former Rebels (FRs) received individual financial assistance amounting to P4.3 million composed of livelihood assistance, immediate assistance, reintegration assistance, and firearms remuneration at the 403rd Brigade Covered Court, Impalambong, Malaybalay City, this Province. Seven (7) firearms were also turned over to the ECLIP Committee for cost valuation.

This is the second round of the release of DILG-Administered Package of Assistance for the Former Rebels (FRs) for CY2022 facilitated by the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) Committee of Bukidnon.

Bukidnon Acting Brigade Commander of 403rd Infantry Brigade, Col Ted B. Dumosmog, expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Governor, DILG, and PNP for their efforts and commitment on addressing the insurgency cases in the Province. Moreover, he welcomed the FRs and identified them as the “Friends rescued”.

Ayaw na gyud intawun mo ug balik, paningkamot mo nga kato inyo mga amigo, kaila, ug igsuon ma sibyaan ninyo nga ang atong gobyerno andam nga mo dawat ninyo. Tabangan natog hagit nga mobalik na sa ilang pamilya ug sa sabakan sa balaod, para mag puyo ug normal nga kinabuhi,” said BGen Dumosmog.

BGen. Dumosmog stated that the government continues to support these individuals unwaveringly. He also reminded the surrenderees to stop their old routines for them to live their normal lives and acquire better opportunities in all their future endeavors.

Further, Ka Rolando (not his real name), one of the FR surrenderees, shared his testimony that he is thankful for the provisions of the government and encouraging the others to return to the fold of law.

The turnover and distribution were witnessed by (1) Atty. Romwell P. Roque, Executive Assistant, PGO Bukidnon; (2) Col Ted B Dumosmog, MNSA (INF) PA, Acting Brigade Commander, 403rd Infantry Brigade; (3) Ms. Rhona P. Abadilla, DILG Provincial Director; (4) PMAJ Jerry Sandigan Paronia, Chief Provincial Operation Unit, Bukidnon PPO; and (5) Ms. Ellen T. Salumintao, RSW, Acting PSWDO.

Through this ECLIP, the FRs will be reintegrated back to the community, be with their families, and start over with their new, normal lives.
