LANAO DEL NORTE – As part of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s directive in war against illegal drugs, sixty-five (65) former drug pushers graduated from LGU Poona Piagapo’s Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) on August 16, 2021.

         Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Lanao del Norte Provincial Director Bruce Augusto Colao, who is one of the speakers in the activity, pointed out that the war on drugs shall be sustained and relentlessly pursued.

         “I would like to commend LGU Poona Piagapo led by Mayor Muslima T. Macol for the commitment and continuous efforts for this rehabilitation program and those 65 former drug pushers who voluntarily submitted themselves for this reformation treatment,” he added.

         The activity was also graced by Cherry L. Senturias, DILG-MLGOO of Poona Piagapo; Ustadj Cosain O. Mustapha, Civil Society Organizations (CSO) representative; Joycie L. Demecillo, LGU-ADAC Focal Person; IAV Vincent Cecil Oracales, Philippine Drug Enforcement Authority (PDEA) representative; PLT Col. Jovanie Cabusas, Philippine National Police (PNP)-Lanao del Norte representative and Dr. Saripada U. Hadjiyusoph of Municipal Health Office (MHO).

         The Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBRP) is a holistic approach in rehabilitating the surrendered drug personalities and is a holistic approach in rehabilitating the surrendered drug personalities and aims to focus on the healing of the body, mind, and soul through counseling and other therapeutic sessions.
