30 MISOR FORMER REBELS RECEIVE LIVELIHOOD, TRAINING ASSISTANCE WORTH PHP50K
Towards starting a new life, 30 Former Rebels in Misamis Oriental received Livelihood and Training Assistance amounting to Php 50,000 each at 58IB Headquarters, Sitio Migbanday, Claveria.
Held on May 6, DILG Misamis Oriental Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe reminded the Former Rebels to use the assistance wisely as this is one way for them to start a new life, working together with the government.
One of the Former Rebels testifies her drastic experiences in the past as she expressed her gratitude to the Philippine Government for all the assistance provided to them.
“The true government is the government of the Philippines and not the one they have joined before,” she said.
Further, as an expression of support to Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) and Enhanced Comprehensive Local Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP), the Province of Misamis Oriental through Governor Yevgeny Vincente B. Emano also extended financial assistance worth Php 5,000.00 each.
During the activity, the 58th IB presented an audiovisual presentation (AVP) on the Life of the Former Rebels, their thoughts and insights and on how the government took care of them after they surrendered. (DILG Misamis Oriental/ LGOO III Marie Antonette C. Apolinario)
