DILG-Bukidnon, in its scrupulous implementation of the Comprehensive Local Integration Program (CLIP), spearheaded its third batch of financial assistance distribution for CY 2018 to 21 former rebel beneficiaries at Camp Osito Bahian, Impalambong, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon last August 28, 2018.
The said activity is in consonance with the Institutional Arrangements under Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2016-02 of the DILG and of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), which institutionalizes the Department as the lead agency in the effective implementation of the CLIP.
Part of the Financial Assistance distributed are: Immediate Assistance, Livelihood Assistance and Firearm Remuneration which amounted to a total of P1,578,500.00.
Out of 21 former rebel beneficiaries, 20 of which received their respective immediate and livelihood assistance amounting to Php 65,000.00 each while 10 individuals among the same group received additional cash assistance as firearm remuneration for various firearms that they have previously surrendered.
In addition, six (6) former rebels also surrendered six (6) long firearms on the same activity, and its necessary documents are now being finalized for the issuance of a firearm remuneration.
The activity was also attended by LGOO VII Glenda Hope A. Beley, Program Manager; COL Ferdinand T Barandon, Deputy Brigade Commander of the 403rd Infantry Brigade; PSSUPT Benedicto T Pintor, Provincial Director of Bukidnon Police Provincial Office; and Mr. Leo D. Villahermosa, E-CLIP Focal Person of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office of Bukidnon.
